Biskut Raya 2013 - M&M Cookies


Salam ..
So..My third biscuit. Hehehe. rajin pulak. well bahan dah ada. habiskanlah..
(even bahan utuk biskut tahun lepas pun ade lagi..) 
Ni memang dah promise to Kiss.. Lagipun sian sangatlah kalau tak buat biskut M&M ni.. 
sebab everytime her Opah came from kampung, and bought her those M&Ms, tahan dia tak makan..

Terus simpan dalam peti ais sambil berkata.. 
" Kita tak nak makan ni, nak buat cookies nanti".. 

ha tergamak tak kalau tak buat.. ??
ni pun.. dah dekat 2 months in the fridge.. baru mamanya nak buat..
boleh sekali harung untuk raya kannn..

I used the very same recipe i made the Brown Butter Choc Chip Cookies..
 Just tukar from 2 cups of choc chips i pakai only 1 cup and add another cup with M&M's
Kalau ada banyak M&Ms tak payah choc chips pun takpe.. 
i just want to finished whatever i had.
Still, i brown ed the butter first.. like previous cookies.




Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies.(Change to M'Ms)

Ingredients
  • 1 cup (236 grams) unsalted butter - buttercup biasa, salted
  • 1/2 cup (100 grams) sugar
  • 1 cup (215 grams) brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cup (300 grams) all purpose flour (i pakai 3 cups of flour)
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda - tak letak pun
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt - tak letak sbb already used salted butter
  • 2 cups (1 lb, 450 grams) semi-sweet chocolate chips - 1 cup of choc chips, 1 cup of M&Ms and half cup of rolled oats.
  • Coarse salt, for sprinkling (optional)


Instructions
  1. In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Once melted, continue to cook until it turns golden brown. Swirl the pan occasionally if needed so that it browns evenly. Watch it fairly closely, as it can go from brown to burned quickly. When the color has turned golden, small flecks speckle the butter, and it has a nutty aroma, remove from heat and poor into a shallow dish. Chill in the fridge until it becomes solid. You want it to be soft, but not melted. If it cool too hard, let it come back to room temperature before using.
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees and line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
  1. Beat the brown butter, sugar, and brown sugar on medium high speed with an electric mixer until light and creamy, about 4 minutes. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing after each. Add the vanilla extract.
  1. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Add to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined. Add the chocolate chips and mix until incorporated.
  1. Spoon by the tablespoon onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving 2 inches in between each cookie. Sprinkle with coarse salt, if desired. Bake until golden brown, 10-12 minutes. Let cool for 5 minutes on the pan before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
  1. Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature.


okay after bake..  i baked with 180C for 15-18 mins 
(of course depends on your oven lah)

Trylah... kids sukalaa.. ade kaler2 ni.
Lsin sikit kan.

btw..i pernah buat M&M Cookies using Pre-mix Flour.
tapi masa tu instead of i mixed the M's in the batter, i asked Kiss susun satu-satu on each pieces.
Nampak presentable sikit..
Tapi.. biasa original M&M cookies.. terus campur sekali je. Sekatila..
Taste wise?
hmm..of course la tepung bancuh sendiri sedap sikit..ye tak?



Kebab Kambing..
That day pegi lambat gile.. 7 pm kot sampai. saja layan hubby ajak berjalan.
Then, this lamb kebab which supposed to be RM7 per stick dah reduced price to 3 sticks for RM10.
mula-mula lalu buat tak tau je when the man jerit2 kan..
sebab dah beli banyak menda dah..
then, hubby cakap..ishh, rugi tak amik..
then terus patah balik beli..
gigih kan..

tapi makan for sahur. sebab for Iftar dah terlebih food.
we had it at 5am dengan nasi panas..
