Biskut Raya 2013 - Brown Butter Choc Chip Cookies

So far the best choc chip cookies recipe I ever tried!! yeay!

Ye.. saya memang suke buat biskut raya. dari kecik saya tolong mak saya buat kuih raya..
Ni bukan soal rajin.. this is one of my way  to de-stress and menggembirakan diri sendiri and spending time with my family..
Plus.. Untuk Kiss feel the raya's spirit lah..

Hmm..Choc chips memanglah biskut wajib. For this year cookies i choose the recipe from Here!! ..

Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup (236 grams) unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup (100 grams) sugar
  • 1 cup (215 grams) brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cup (300 grams) all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups (1 lb, 450 grams) semi-sweet chocolate chips - i letak 1.5 cup choc chips and 1 cup badam cincang.
  • Coarse salt, for sprinkling (optional)
Instructions
  1. In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Once melted, continue to cook until it turns golden brown. Swirl the pan occasionally if needed so that it browns evenly. Watch it fairly closely, as it can go from brown to burned quickly. When the color has turned golden, small flecks speckle the butter, and it has a nutty aroma, remove from heat and poor into a shallow dish. Chill in the fridge until it becomes solid. You want it to be soft, but not melted. If it cool too hard, let it come back to room temperature before using.
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees and line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
  1. Beat the brown butter, sugar, and brown sugar on medium high speed with an electric mixer until light and creamy, about 4 minutes. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing after each. Add the vanilla extract.
  1. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Add to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined. Add the chocolate chips and mix until incorporated.
  1. Spoon by the tablespoon onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving 2 inches in between each cookie. Sprinkle with coarse salt, if desired. Bake until golden brown, 10-12 minutes. Let cool for 5 minutes on the pan before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
  1. Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature.

Well..
apa dia brown butter.. just pakai butter biasa, tapi kita cairkan dulu, simmer the butter in the pan until slightly brown and nutty smell. tapi jaga2 sebab mudah burnt. This is like an ultimate tips to make sure your cookies sedap and extra bonus remarkable taste..Amboii.
tapi serious..tryla.. lagi satu make sure used self raising flour.. jgn guna tepung gandum..tak crunchy nanti.

so this is the brown butter. lepas dah panaskan tu..just let it cool balik . then baru guna macam biasa.
means mesti brown the butter few hours before you start making the cookies la.
so the butter sempat keras sikit balik.. nak cepat just throw into the ice-box like me. ngehehe.

Resepi ni memang sedap lagi best. Try la.. rugi tak try. Tapi make sure follow the butter tips. Brown it first.

Saje.. selain aktiviti buat kuih ialah aktiviti carik kasut raya untuk these kids. So last minute kan..
Hubby punye style.. The more last minute u shop, the merrier it will be.
Nyampah kan..Redho jelahh..
Punyela ramai kat Jusco.. tapi seb baik kami berjiran.. so tak penat sangat!!

Kiss sangat malas berjalan okay..! Kaki dia ada batu terikat kot..
Then, tgh tolak dia terserempak dangan her schoolmates..punyela dia malu dok dalam troli tu.
Merah padam muka.. Siap nak melompat turun. Tapi dah terlambat la.. Hahahaha..
Serves You right, baby!
Muka si kecik tu happy gile kan..  memang dia takkan duduk dalam seat troli tu. tak pernah berjaya.
Posisi ni juga yang dia nak..
I jalan jauh-jauh...

okay..biskut ni sedap. dah habis half balang!  sempat ke raya..?

Wallahu'alam
