Barbie Tea Party and Her DreamHouse DIY

Oh.. hi..
We're having a tea party..
But of course you are not invited..
This is just for young, curvy with plastic face ladies...unfortunately!

The little host is very busy with the table arrangement.

and even dressing up the guest too.. hmm

All done!!
Her dolls are not single. Apparently, they got kids too.

Noticed the recycle box doll house?? ngeh ngeh..

Lets take a closer look.
She demanded a doll house and even if we promised to ger her one she cannot compromised on waiting.

So, this is the fastest resolution.
Luckily, we just get back from grocceries shopping and bought our routine breakfast, Kellogs Cornflakes and made used the Box.
The size was doubled from the normal Kellog's box  plus it comes with a 'window' too.
we are very lucky parent,huh.

I just cut some lines to make the door and push up the box lid for the roof.
and
You get a satisfied smiling little girl construction's approval.

oh..btw, the neighbour's house using my old induction cooker's box.
she even decorated the house.

So far so good... its been a week already.. lalalalala..

It is not a rich extravagant muffin, but still it will pleased you.

I baked few times already using the same recipe for our breakfast/snacks even for the guests coming over and the recipe so far never failed me.
Just like the name - No Fail Banana Muffin.

Suitable for the casual baker like me.. hehe

i got the recipe from Rima-Bisous a Toi (Singapore)
She's no longer aliens in the blogging world specifically with the cooking bloggers.

Doughnuts (Italian Graffe)

Please ignored my doughnuts hideous looks. i let it rised
for too long hence the shapes deformed.

But, trust me it were so good.
Oh.. btw i coated it with mixture of cinnamons powder and confectioners sugar.
My favourite mix..:)

Kiss loves it so much..
and Fakhry had it plain without coating and it good as it is for a toddler taste budsla kan..

This is another recipe from the very same chef (Poundt Cake -i used to bake previously) Laura Vitale.
Told you, i addicted to her cooking you tubes.

Just copy paste the recipe for my future reference.

Doughnuts (Italian Graffe)
Makes about a dozen small ones
Ingredients:1 ¾ cups of All Purpose Flour
1 ½ cups of Potatoes, cooked until very soft, peeled and mashed
1 Egg
2 Tbsp of Unsalted Butter, softened at room temperature
¼ cup of Granulated Sugar
2 tsp of Dry Yeast
¼ cup of Milk, slightly warm
Zest of One Small Lemon or Half of a Large Lemon
½ tsp of Salt
2 Tbsp of Limoncello (optional)
1 tsp of Vanilla Extract (optional)
Lots of Vegetable oil or Canola oil for frying
About 2 Cups of Granulated Sugar, to coat the doughnuts

Process,
1) In a small bowl, mix together the yeast and milk and set aside for a couple minutes.

2) In a large bowl, mix together the flour, cooked potatoes, egg, sugar, butter, lemon zest, limoncello, vanilla, salt and the milk and yeast mixture.

3) Mix everything together until it forms into a dough (it will be sticky at this point) then dump it onto a well floured board and kneed it until the dough comes together and its nice and smooth and no longer sticky (this might cause you to use a bit more flour than you might expect so keep some on hand)

4) Once your dough is ready, take a large baking sheet and line it with a lint free kitchen towel, and sprinkle the towel lightly with flour, set aside.

5) Cut little pieces (the size you cut depends on how big you want the doughnuts to be, I make them small so I cut little pieces ) off the dough and roll them out into a rope, then pinch the ends together to form a circle, place the doughnuts onto the kitchen towel lined baking sheet. Continue forming the rest and once your all done, cover them with another kitchen towel and allow them to rise in a warm spot for about an hour or until they have doubled in volume.

6) Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot until it reaches 350 degrees, drop about 4 doughnuts at a time and let them cook for a couple minutes, they should take about a minute per side or until both sides are golden brown. Drain on a paper towel lined plate.

7) Dip them into the sugar and place on a platter. Best when they are hot so dig in!

Him @ 15 months - My intan payung

Alhamdulillah, he just turned 15 months last week.

It was just like yesterday, since the day one i discovered myself  pregnant of him.  He was the most awaiting baby.. errr.. i said the same thing to his sister though...
I remembered how i  counted my ovulation date carefully every months back then, and took the self test as soon as my period late even only for a day.
and whenever the tests turned out to be negative, we convinced ourselves this is the best for us and Allah had a better plan.

Alhamdullilah.. Allah grant us him.
Thank-You Allah for believing in us with this amanah.
Help us to raise him accordingly. Amin.

This is just another random about his milestone at 15months so, sayang if i forgot all about this someday later.

well, he like balls and ballons or anything that can rolled over whenever he kicked.
at home, he can spent hours playing with the ball.
Papa, dah berangan Fakhry jadi pemain bola sepak. oh, please la.

lagi satu, dah terer main masak-masak must be influenced by his sister.
jangan minat barbie sudah..
so far, dia suka gigit rambut barbie je

He discovered that sea water is salty at 14 months.
hehehe

His first time riding speed boat. Masa ni muka dia macam nak nangis.
Tak taula sebab teruja or takut.

he, naturally loves the water like other kids.
Since baby till now, bath time its not a problem to us.
sekarang sebut pasal mandi, dia sendiri walk to the bathroom.
just nak bawak keluar agak susah sikit.
Mandi kolam apetah lagi... berperang!!!

His addiction to Ipad and TV programme agak merisaukan.
so..tv tak boleh buka selalu sebab dia boleh bergolek, baring, kuak lentang tengok tv je..

Sekarang kalau nak buka Ipad kena sorok sikit, sebab kalau dia nampak, confirmed kena rampas.
Tak dapat..nangis.
Dah boleh operate few simple games designed for toddler like him.

TV programmes so far, Upin Ipin, Barney, Boboiboy, Teletubbies, few favourites adverts memang dia layan abiss.
Lately, kalau ada quite scarry scenes in Upin Ipin like K.ros tgh marah ke.. dia akan nangis sebab takottt.
Cian..dahla susah nak pujuk.

oh.. he can sing lagu tv al-hijrah and Bola kampung theme song..hehe
tapi sekadar uuu..aaaa..ooo.. but the rythm is correct la.
very funny.abis nyanyi he will looked to us and hope for puji pujian and the big applauses.

Dia sangatlah boy.. and lasak.. and dah banyak kali jatuh.. terhantuk lagi..aduhaii
and kalau pergi playground mesti naik slide atleast 4-5 rounds.

he was very fond to his papa. kalau ade papa he doesn't want me.
and kalau jalan-jalan he choose to hold his papa's hand rather than mine!!
siap tepis-tepis lagi tangan kita. sabar jelah.
maybe sebab his papa selalu buat adventurous activities dengan dia and me rather boring
OR
sebab papa selalu suap makanan bukan-bukan.. like air sirap, teh, cendol and Tuhan sajelah yang tahu apa bila i tak nampak.
bukan apa,
kang sembelit nanti..or cherry berry ke..hisshh

every morning,  he demand hubby to bring him for jogging togather.
Dah satu kerja pulak, i kena ikut sebab nak jaga dia sebab nanti hubby tak bleh jogging pulak.
tula ajar lagi...
paham-pahamla budak besar ni punya speed limitations kan.
and everymorning, he walks satu round padang bola.. and now betis dia dah keras sikit..
tak taula..
my parents cakap tak elok.. nanti dia penat sangat.
tapi, from our observation, ok je.
dah dia bukan nak dukung pun..hmm

muka puas hati ragging us early in the morning.
kalau bawak jalan muka manis je..
kalau kena tinggal, berguling-guling marah..

so far, makan mudah. dah pandai makan nasi.. and of course dengan sup and lauk budak-budaklah kan.
and he loves honey dew so much
but tak suka pisang which is his sister favourite fruit!!

okay..ngantuklah.. bye..
nanti citer lagi.

Another Random!!

What shall i write?? Duh..
“I would like to see your writing skills. Show me a sample of your report.”
A report to impress an unconvincing interviewer.
I was asked to write a good damm report. And here I am struggling myself to write.
All this while, for the past of 7 years of experienced, how should I told him, my reports were only consists of solid CAD mechanical drawings and engineering analysis.  Pages after pages full with numbers from calculations and physic theories in order to prove the strength and reliability of one certain product.  And, those pages won’t stop until laboratory tests as well as field’s tests analysis and comparisons graphs drafted in.
Yes, I did write something in those reports either FAIL or PASS. Is it that can be considered as writing skills? No, I don’t think so.
At one awkward time during the session, I almost slipped tongue asking him to check out my blog.  I did write frequently in it, about my thought, my routines, inspirations and random stuff.  Maybe he can just evaluate my writing skills from there. Fortunately, I didn’t. What am i thinking?
As an unconvincing interviewer, I too confused myself in the path I’m going to choose.  Decided to twist  little bit on my career scopes and starts all over from the beginning when I was already placed myself in certain position and recognition with my old career, plus having kids and being a wife to somebody doesn’t help much neither
I used to have that same kind of perspectives of view and looks judging me in every interview sessions before. But then, it was because am applying for engineering jobs, the field obviously dominated by somebody from Venus. Simply being a girl, my marked seems to be marked down 50% automatically upon entering the room leaving me to fight for another 50% for the real interview sessions.
But hey, indeed I was totally wrong this time, even applying for management role I had put myself into the same situation again. But this times its worst because I was left with 20% marks to go, apparently now I’m having 2 kids and lacking of experiences. I rest my case.  As was said, the only good thing in me is, I stay nearby.
Yes, to be truth, the reason I’m applying the job at the first place was because it was really near to my home. Having a workplace just  a few blocks away and walking distance  from home are simply a bonus points even though  it were quite rare in nowadays working environments.  Went out as early as the sunrises and crawling back at home full with stress overloading in the dark EVERYDAY are the current ‘IN’ trend.
For years, I used to have that kind of life and am fully understand, nobody opted to choose that kind of hectic life, but as a normal civilian, the theory somehow drilled and welded safely into our brain that this is one “RIGHT THING” in life we should be in order to survive. No doubt, the hunger to fulfill basic necessities or to satisfy high end maintenance lifestyle threw us to be slaved on our own needs. And don’t start with the desire to show or please the community around us…?!
I believed in living healthy and maintain a balance lifestyle between careers and family. I believed by having a good health of mentally, spiritually and physically may lead to other successful stories too. Lots of proven data and studies had shown a happy employee served well in the organizations rather than the angry and stress employee. Angry employees tend to skip works, lack of creativity, less responsible and not loyal by changing jobs. So, In order to performs well  or be a top performer one need to be happy and in order to be happy they need to be healthy and balance life between both worlds.
Err, I will be very happy if my workplace near to my home and saving lots of my times stuck  in traffic jammed on roads and spending those quality time with other beneficial tasks which is will bring me extra points on my end year appraisal. Remember, happy employee equal to performing well.  YES..NO? Well, like it or not no doubt it is a proven theory.
Plus as a raw in the new positions at least my view are fresh and uncommon. It should be advantages to the organizations having staff from diverse backgrounds which leads to diversify angle of views, approaches and strategies to build up a smart and functional teamwork ready to grab any kinds of opportunities.
Adaptability is the common issue brought up.  To me, maturity is something to count for. After all, every different business and job role in the world, the root principles are still the same and applied the very same basics. It is up to a person on how he/she oversees and tackles the problems while providing the best solutions.
So, back to the report, still, I didn’t write any. I don’t think he will impress on a report full with technical and CAD drawings. There will be no writing skills to be proud at.  I ‘googled’ around in the Internet, there are tons of sample reports as easy with a click away.  As simple as that.
But then, there was no point for me simply to copy or editing a report which clearly wasn’t mine.  I don’t want to promise ‘moon and stars’ to them and end up as a loser when the reality hit me back. Life was real and the challenges getting stronger with heavier burden to carry.
To Mr. Interviewer, it’s ok to be careful referring the positions I am applying for. But do please let me squeeze in to your organizations. I’m well equipped and all excited and ready to face the new challenges. J
An hour passed by, beside writing a report i find myself whinning here, luckily its my own blog. Bare with me.. i'm just an ordinary girl and currently all clueless and confused. :(

because..... i'm baking
.......
.......
.......
.......
.......
.......
.......
......

M & M COOKIESS for them.... ngeh ngeh...ngeh..

considering my mum will never ever bake those cookies for me, once upon a time ago .. kan..:(

so, here's the simple steps in the journey of being a cool mum like me..*cough

yeah..yeah.. i'm using instant biscuit pre-mix..
i bought it from BAGUS baking supplies store recently
very simple..easy peasy..
me..likey :)

i just used half of the packet though, hence there was only an egg there.

Simply, add the butter and an egg. whisk it untill fully incorparated.
i chose to use electrical whisk to speed up the process.

and,
adding  a cup of rolled oats to make it healthier a bit.
boleh ke macam tu?
the packet instructions suggest to put some nuts or choclate chips, which  i didn't.
plus i want to save my almonds and chips for other baking projects.
  hehe

my little helper.
she made sure the "M"s print will always be on top.
whenever, i wrongly put it she will nagging at me...
huhu

it is her idea to make the biscuit.
she watched a lot of cooking youtubes lately.
so, banyakla cooking ideas kan..

and of course she will be relying on me to realise her intentions .. kan
sian pulak..
lagipun, i kan cool mum!! hehe

before

After

Yummy.. Crispy..Goeyyyyy

we got nearly 50 pcs of these.
oh.. i used mini M & M's instead the normal sizes, so she can put more Mss in one cookie!!!

this is my second time, using biscuit premix from BAGUS.
tak mengecewakan.
the first time boleh tengok previous entry.

but next time i gonna make it from scratch.
mesti lagi sedap lah kot.
i had bookmark few recipes, already..
niat mesti mau ada..hahaha

the proud little chef wannabe dah mandi.

The compulsory procedure after baking with kids..

Cendol Bakar Kuala Selangor

Sampai hari ni teringat-ingat kesedepan, kelemakan, manis-manis sejuk cendol bakar ni.
Memangla akan pergi beli lagi whenever balik kampung hubby.
 Marvellous!! Wow!! Addictive!!

Bak kata my 4yr girl... on her first sip..
"emmm... inilah cendol sebenar!!"..

imagine, budak 4 tahun cakap gitu.. siap intonasi bagai..
us, bantai gelak berjemaah dalam kereta sampai dia nak nangis.. hehehe

Selama ni dok ulang alik, tak terfikir pun nak singgah.
underestimate cendol bakar ni..
we thought how special a cendol can be?? kann..
afterall, its just a combinations of coconut milk and gula merah je...
boleh ke tukar2 rasa..kan?

lagipun, kite kan orang kuale, so far cendol kuale la paling sedap kot
ececeh

tapi sebab si iqram dinzly ni dah feature dalam JJCM baru-baru ni.
tak bleh jadi ni... Wajib ku coba..

maka, berbaris lah kami ikut kaunter drive tru ni.
so clever,, senang tak payah carik2 parking then kena menapak tengah-tengah panas,
turned off nak makan cendol nanti.
quite fast juga lane drive tru.. pas beli terus minum.

diaorang letak dalam gelas platik bertutup dengan straw besar.
kalau makan situ, they served in bowls with spoons.

pictures snap from in the car je. panas. gigih nak rasa juga.

from jjcm interview tu, i learned that gula merah tu dibakar dulu atas daun pisang.
so, thats why bila kita minum tu ada aroma lain sikit.. bau bakar2 sikit.
sebab tula datangnya nama cendol bakar.

the menu. okla..price very affordable.
hopefully, tak naik harga ye..

i chose the basic ones, cendol bakar VIP.
tu pun dah sedap sangat dah to my taste buds.

tak yah durian, pulut, tapai segala..

hubby, pilih cendol pulut.
pas minum.. sepanjang jalan ngantuk.. till we reach hutan melintang.
sabar jelah.. dah tau nak driving jauh..
nak juga pekena pulut tu..
nak tegur, nanti terasa pulak..
haissh
